Do you provide equipment for beginners? When do I have to get my own? How much does it cost? All specialist equipment is provided for beginners. There’s no strict time limit, but you should start thinking about getting your own after 9-12 months. A full set of new good quality kit costs about £550, a bit less if you go for an economy brand. Second hand kit can be found for half this much or less, but you should consult us before buying second hand – there is a lot of unsafe equipment on eBay that should never be used.
Does it hurt? Do people get injured? It feels like someone prodding you with their finger. There’s no such thing as a sport with zero injuries, but you are less likely to get injured than in many other sports, including football and rugby.
